SUMMARY:Layering the Landscape in Patel with Beki Borman
DESCRIPTION:In this one-day workshop\, students will learn pastel drawing while focusing on landscape as a subject matter. Materials\, tools\, and techniques will be covered. Students will learn how to layer and blend pastels to achieve gradation\, depth\, and atmosphere. We will start with a few exercises to develop concepts and then we will move on to completed drawings. This class is open to all levels of experience. Students should bring sketchbook or note paper\, a pencil set\, blending stumps (at least 3 assorted sizes) and possible landscape photographs to work from. Most supplies are included but students may bring their own chalk pastels and toned paper.
